Theme reveal for the upcoming A – Z challenge

When I first started this blog, I could not care less about a theme to be honest. I’ve heard about WordPress own official themes, the ones that starts off with Twenty something, and for right now, the 2025 theme is the latest one. It came straight out of the box and I did not change lots at first. But the more I used it, the more I fell in love with it.

The thing that makes the WordPress 2025 theme so great is the balance between simplicity and flexibility. It looks extremely clean and modern, especially on a mobile device and it also gives me plenty of room to customize things without making it complicated. I’ve made some mistakes of course. That happens when you’re new to blogging and don’t know everything about design, but the 2025 theme helped me to understand these things more.

The site editor lets me tweak the layout, adjust the colors and make the theme truly my own. Lately I’ve been feeling more brave, so I’ve changed the fonts and added some more colors to make the blog stand out more. I found loads of pink colors and thought that would be cool for links, and with a black background, it makes the links look even cooler.

The font I found is amazing

The font I am currently using is Poppins. I wanted to have a more classic, but at the same time a font that’s really easy to read. When I was really young, Comic Sans was all the rage, and since my blog (and myself) are really quirky, I thought that I’d try and find a font to match that even more. Poppins is a popular font online. I see it on websites constantly, but I haven’t thought of it, honestly. When I realized that the Poppins font gave me what I needed, I was thrilled, and here we are.

Screen shot of a google search of the font Comic Sans, and the result displays info about the font, written in Comic Sans itself.
😂 if you google “Comic Sans” everything is displayed in Comic Sans! I had no idea!

Final thoughts

I love it that I can tweak this theme (and any other block theme of course) —all without touching a single line of code. Now, I can’t imagine using anything else. It’s the perfect blend of ease and creative freedom, and honestly, I think I accidentally picked the best theme right from the start.

What do you love about your theme and what do you use for a theme and why? Let me know in the comments below, thanks!
