This is a very simple blog post. My reason for not monetizing this blog are plenty, so you can rest assured easily that I will never ask for money off of you for coming in here and reading. The reason for that is so easy. I’ve heard it’s hell to make money successfully of a personal blog that has no real theme.

The only way to make money is if you have expert opinions on your topic

Or you’re just famous for being famous I guess. No matter what, it’s hard and I did not start this blog to make money, even though I earn basically nothing today. I could really use another X amount of € to help get me through and provide more for myself and our life we have today. But the blog is not a real source for that. It would be a different thing if I were a professional chef, working at iHOP or something, but I do not. I don’t share recipes with you and writing inspirational posts does not really keep the checks coming either as far as I know. And I have no interest in trying to as well.

You can have a paid newsletter, donation blocks and other subscriptions that people can pay for. You can lock this paid stuff behind pay walls as well and it’s pretty easily done with the Gutenberg editor.
