No Theme Thursday: 20 000 leagues into the…

In this week’s NTT post, it will be a total blast and mashup between life and legend. The latter being Jules Verne and various books and adaptations made from his writings.

I’ve never read his books, but earlier this week I bought 6 of them and I’ve started listening to 20 000 leagues under the sea and the reason is because I recently watched a TV show called Nautilus. It’s based on that book, but I wanted to figure out exactly how close to the book it actually is. I’m betting it’s very loosely based on it, but I don’t know.

I’ve seen the old Disney movie from 1954 a few times and I bet that this movie is close to the book than the TV show.

The reason for that is that these days, TV shows that are based on books love to add shit that doesn’t belong there. They add drama where there is no reason to, and remove characters and story lines because they can. I dislike that, but with that said I can say that I really liked the Nautilus TV show.

Now, how do we throw my own life into the picture?

Well, that’s pretty easy. I’ve been busy and tired, busy and tired lately. Stuff is going on, shit is happening (and maybe hitting the fan) and like the man on the beach surrounded by broken bottles and all kinds of crap, I can relate to the feeling of being exhausted. Not drunk, though 😂. I don’t drink alcohol FYI.

I’ve had some weird shit happening to me this past few days and who knows what the result will be because of it. If all goes well, I will have a massive opportunity to get a better job, and the salary I want. With my current income, my life’s a joke and I don’t deserve to have such a bad check each month. I do survive on it, but I can make a whole lot better if this opportunity is something that I get to partake in. It all depends on so many variables but I hope it will be a thing that will happen, even though the downsides are more than I can bear.

All and all, I hope you wish me luck because I should really use it.
