Things I wish existed…

Besides all the pancake making I’m doing, I believe it’s important to think of the future as well. We can’t all be stuck doing the same thing over and over again, right? That does not seem healthy. To escape our possible rut, I thought we could consider ideas. These ideas might help make the world a better place.

I envision a world with a global hyper loop system. This system revolutionizes travel. It allows pancake lovers to easily access the best breakfast spots across cities. I’m excited by the idea of a pet translator. It enhances my connection with my furry friends. It ensures they enjoy pancakes too! Additionally, a sarcasm font could elevate my witty pancake-related humor, making my blogging presence even more delightful.

A global hyper loop system (that actually works)

Imagine a world where you could travel between cities faster than a plane? You would not deal with the hassle of airports, cramped seats, or long security lines. That’s the promise of the hyperloop—a futuristic transportation system designed to propel passengers through vacuum-sealed tubes at airplane-like speeds. Originally popularized by Space Karen (guess who that might be? 🤡). The idea has sparked excitement (and skepticism) as companies race to make it a reality. But is this high-speed dream the future of travel, or just a sci-fi fantasy that’s stuck in development limbo?

So far it seems it’s the latter unfortunately. It would be truly amazing to travel to all the areas of the world in minutes or hours. And hopefully do it cheaply and without waiting forever at an airport before leaving.

It could mean that people could work a day job in Paris, but be home for dinner in London. Europeans could visit the states in about 2-4 hours. This is a significant improvement from the usual 12 or more, depending on where you travel from.

How Hyperloops Work 🚄💨

  • Vacuum Tubes – Unlike regular trains that run on tracks, hyperloop pods travel through low-pressure tubes. This reduces air resistance and allows for insane speeds.
  • Magnetic Levitation (MagLev) – The pods don’t touch the ground; they hover slightly above the track using powerful magnets. This eliminates friction, making the ride ultra-smooth.
  • Electric Propulsion – The pods get a push using electric motors. Then they coast at high speeds with minimal energy use.

Why They’re Cool 🌍

  • Crazy Fast – Theoretically, hyperloops could reach speeds of 600–760 mph (1,000–1,220 km/h). This means a trip from Los Angeles to San Francisco (560 km) could take just 30 minutes.
  • Energy Efficient – They use way less energy than airplanes or high-speed trains. If they are powered by renewables, they could be super eco-friendly.
  • Less Traffic, More Convenience – No waiting at airports, no sitting in traffic—just hop in and go.

Why We Don’t Have Them Yet 🤔

  • Expensive to Build – The infrastructure cost is massive, and no one wants to pay for it (yet).
  • Safety Concerns – What happens if there’s a power failure or a tube leak? These are problems engineers are still working on.
  • Land Rights & Bureaucracy – Building giant tubes across countries means tons of legal and political hurdles.

Where Are We Now? 🚧

Companies like Virgin Hyperloop have built small-scale test tracks. However, no full system is up and running yet. Some countries (like the UAE and India) have expressed interest in building them, but it’s still in the experimental phase.

A pet translator

It would just be awesome to really understand what your pet means and wants to tell you. Still, like with hyper loops – there are actually some kinds of translator out there. I’ve seen videos on YouTube. I don’t know how accurate they are. However, if they are truly working as intended, that would be super cool. Right?

What tha heck is that cat saying?

A sarcasm font?!

First of all, what the heck is that? Well, it’s not my idea. I did hear about it from a friend and when they explained the idea to me – I liked it. Here are some more details:

How It Would Work

  • Wavy, tilted, or slightly distorted text – Because sarcasm is never straightforward.
  • Color-coded sarcasm levels – Light sarcasm might be italicized, while full-blown snark could be bold and red.
  • Automatic context detection – You may type “Oh wow, what a great idea” in response to something dumb. The font detects your sarcasm. It adjusts accordingly.
  • Built-in eye-roll emoji – Just in case people still don’t get it.

Why We Need It

  • No more “Wait… are you serious?” replies.
  • Perfect for passive-aggressive work emails.
  • Helps avoid accidental internet fights (but not the ones you start on purpose).

Bonus Features (for Premium Users, obviously)

  • A built-in sigh sound effect – Activated whenever someone totally misses the joke.
  • “Bless Your Heart” Mode – For the ultimate Southern-style sarcasm.
  • Auto-translate to “Normal Person” Font – Converts sarcasm into plain language for those who just don’t get it.

What worked you like to see existing in our world that doesn’t today? There are so many things that could be useful. If you’d like to know more about hyper loops, there’s ton of information online. One website I found is Hyperloop Transportation Technologies. Their site looks absolutely amazing. I really do hope their technology will be a thing really soon.

Please, let me know your thoughts about this in the comment section below.
