In life we have multiple tools often ready at our fingertips. Like maps. If you know how to read one, they you’re off to a good start. If you’re clueless, than you can probably expect life to be a bit harder.
So far, I’ve learned that time moves way faster than I thought (wasn’t yesterday 2018?). Plans are basically just suggestions. People who seem like they have it all figured out are usually just better at faking it. I’m just busy messing up my pancake experiments in the kitchen 😂. When I’m not at work, that is.
Life has a way of making you constantly rethink everything. Sometimes you wake up in the middle of the night and you have an existential crisis. It makes it impossible to go back to sleep. Other times it feels like you’re sleeping through your whole life. I’m just laughing at my pancakes 🥴.
I’m just here, collecting experiences. I dodge unnecessary drama. Or at least I try to. I hope future-me looks back and thinks, ‘Okay, that was a pretty decent start.’ At least if we’re talking about this blog of mine.
Life. It’s called life.
What I’m meaning to say here is simple. If you sit down and really examine things, you will see lessons from your whole life. These lessons are always trying to teach you something of value. If you go through life, never looking back and never analyzing things – you will most likely never learn anything.
I personally try and learn from every failure. With every failed and messed up pancake, I try and better myself. And that pancake! I try and figure out what went wrong and If I can’t figure that out, I ask for help. Usually my boyfriend helps me to get on the right track. He’s a better chef than I am!

Asking for help is always a good thing. It’s not a sign of weakness.
That is why I ask for help a lot from both friends, family and other loved ones in my life. I get both good advice and bad, of course.
This is why you should consider asking for help, should you need it:
1. Broadens Your Perspective
- When you ask for help, you gain new insights and ideas that you might not have considered. Others often bring a fresh viewpoint that can open up new possibilities.
2. Saves Time and Energy
- Seeking help can prevent you from getting stuck on a problem for too long. Instead of spending hours trying to figure something out on your own, get assistance to speed up the process. This can reduce frustration.
3. Improves Learning and Growth
- Asking for help is a form of learning. You can gain valuable knowledge from others who have more experience. It helps you build new skills for the future. As long as you listen of course, and take in what they’re trying to tell you.
4. Builds Stronger Relationships
- When you ask for help, it can strengthen your relationships. People appreciate being trusted with a task or challenge, and it fosters collaboration and mutual support.
5. Enhances Problem-Solving
- Two (or more) minds are often better than one. By collaborating with someone else, you can come up with more creative and effective solutions to a problem.
6. Boosts Confidence
- When you ask for help and receive it, you’re not just solving the issue at hand. You’re building confidence in your ability to seek support when needed. This is a great strength. Hopefully this is more true when you have friends and family that you can rely on and that knows you.
7. Reduces Stress
- Asking for help can take the burden off your shoulders, especially when juggling many tasks. It can alleviate stress and make you feel more at ease.
This is my approach whenever a problem arises. I try to tackle it as often as possible. Some tasks tend to surface and try to make my life worse.
What to you do to improve your life and how does events in life shape your future? Let me know below, thanks ❤️.
