A – Z Challenge: Drafts

Creating drafts beforehand on WordPress has truly transformed the way I approach my content creation process. In the hustle and bustle of daily life, finding the time to write can be a challenge, but having drafts at my fingertips has made planning my posts not only easier but also more enjoyable. The joy of knowing that I can take my time to craft, revise, and perfect each piece is empowering. It allows me to pour my thoughts into my posts without the pressure of an impending deadline.

You can create a post and copy it for an easy template

One feature that I absolutely love is the ability to copy posts with Jetpack and it's a feature you get either by installing the jetpack plugin on a self-hosted WordPress blog, or use it natively on fedorapancakes.com/. This functionality has been a game-changer for me. When I want to reuse a successful format or revisit a topic I’ve written about before, I can quickly replicate my previous work. This not only saves time but also helps me maintain a consistent voice and style throughout my blog. It’s like having a creative blueprint at my disposal!

I’ve primarily used this feature for my post formatted posts, like status and link posts. I also asked chatGPT to generate a script for me and create all these posts beforehand inside the A – Z blogging challenge. I did so and imported it into a local site and exported it the way you do traditionally with WordPress posts you’d like to save, backup or move to another host.

AI can also be a helpful tool for blogging ideas and automating your work flow

I also did ask chatGPT for blogging ideas for this challenge, since it’s all about blogging. If somebody has done the same, you might discover that for the same letter, like D for drafts, lots of similar posts will be seen across the WordPress reader, but as long as everybody writes their own unique views – I don’t really care about that, and neither should you!

In essence, the combination of draft posts, Jetpack’s copy feature, and the ability to automate the creation of those drafts has provided me with a beautiful canvas to explore my ideas. Embracing these tools has not only made my blogging journey more organized but also infused it with excitement and creativity. I encourage every content creator to embrace the power of drafts – it’s a step that can elevate your writing and bring your ideas to life!
