I can’t believe we’re in October already. The years are flying by. It’s both a sad and good feeling. It’s sad due to me wanting to make the summer periods last longer, but good because so many interesting things will hopefully fall into place this fall. Keep your fingers crossed that I will have miracle after miracle falling into my lap.
The clocks go back at the end of October here in the UK. Does your country do the same?
Yeah, but I seriously hope that at some point the whole EU will return to having standard time all year round. It’s a pretty ridiculous thing to keep doing and I also do not understand the people that prefer summertime in that sense. The logical move would be standard.
Do you enjoy Halloween?
Yeah, but I don’t really celebrate it and I never prepare anything for the kids that might come knocking on our door. Luckily I live in an apartment complex where it’s pretty hard to get inside so I guess I’m lucky in that sense.
Dare I ask if you are preparing for Christmas? If you do not celebrate it in your country, do you have any December traditions?
I usually prepare for Christmas months in advance and I celebrate it with my family. This year, I have no idea though on what will happen. Anything is up for grabs! Last year’s Christmas was so frickin’ weird that I think it made us all look at this holiday with a fresh perspective. That is, family is the most important thing, the food and everything else is not. I’d rather have pizza on Christmas Eve than not celebrate it at all with my family.
Are you likely to have snow anytime soon?
Hopefully not! Luckily where I live, snow is a really rare thing. If we get it, it usually stays a week or so. Official summertime usually lasts many months and it’s pretty grey and boring during lots of time during the year due to there being no snow. I do prefer it this way, because I deeply hate snow, and the cold. I see no logical reason for there to be snow and cold for months of the year, so I’m so happy that I can at least know that I will be without it for the majority of the time.
